Malawi 
Village of Hope - Malawi opened its first Village in the city of Lilongwe in 2007. The population of Malawi is roughly 13 million, with 46% being under the age of 14. Infant mortality is high and life expectancy at birth is roughly 40 years. UNICEF estimates that there are 950,000 orphans in Malawi.
Village of Hope cares for the children of Malawi by providing them with food, shelter, health services, and education, and the opportunity to know Jesus personally.
- There are a total of 43 children and six mothers living on site
- 12 children's homes are complete (excluding interior painting on 4)
- six of the 12 homes are housing children
- an additional nursery school complex is under construction
- Our goal is to have all 12 children's homes operating with 8 children in each home
